General Podiatry
General podiatry includes the diagnosis, primary care and treatment of the feet, including the ongoing management of a wide range of conditions affecting the feet, ankles, and lower extremities. It acts as the foundational layer of foot health, focusing on keeping you mobile, managing chronic systemic risks, and addressing acute lower-limb complaints. Treatment includes non-surgical management of skin and nail pathologies. While seemingly straightforward, proper management prevents secondary infections and mechanical ulcerations.
Biomechanical Assessments and custom-made orthotics
A podiatric biomechanical analysis is a detailed clinical evaluation of the lower limb that focuses on joint motion, muscle function, and overall alignment to diagnose and treat pain or walking irregularities. This is where the Podiatrist does a manual examination of both legs and feet, this includes range of motion of each joint noting restrictions where they occur, testing muscle tightness & weakness, uneven structural position of the feet and legs as well as abnormalities.
Home Visits
Podiatry Home Visits bring essential lower-limb medical care directly to individuals who are unable to visit our clinic due to mobility challenges, advanced age, acute illness, or disability. Treatment includes routine dermatological and nail maintenance and high-risk diabetic neurovascular assessments. We cover Sydney's South West Region, inner West, Sutherland Shire and St.Geroge area and accept EPC (Enhanced Chronic Care Plans), NDIS and Insurance (Third Party, Worker's Comp) which are assessed and supplied as a referral from your GP or Health Funds to reduce the out of pocket cost.
